Lorinser Mercedes M-Class Rendered

Once again, Lorinser hits us with a new project, this time not yet unveiled or to be unveiled very soon. The new styling package for the W166 Mercedes M-Class is currently under development and is scheduled to be revealed early next year, at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show in March. But until then, Lorinser has cooled down the anxiety with an official rendering in order to give us an idea about what the car will look like.

As for a few details about the project, the package for the 2012 Mercedes M-Class will feature an aggressive front fascia which includes a revised bumper, new air intakes, LED daytime running lights and an upgraded grille.
It is quite probable that the rear will feature an integrated spoiler with four tailpipes.

Other upgrades brought to the appearance of the SUV will be new wheel arches, side skirts and the typical Lorinser-wheels.

Unfortunately, information regarding performance or power haven’t been released yet, so we cannot update you on that, but we can promise to keep up with the news as soon as something leakes.

2013 Mercedes SL Gets Aluminium Bodyshell [Video]

The latest move of Mercedes-Benz in order to tease us is the release of a video that brings forward the 2013 Mercedes’s SL aluminum bodyshell. So Mercedes, good job!

The new generation roadster will be 140 lighter than its predecessor due to various alloys and complex section. According to the company, these are the highest safety standards and the SL will be unique among roadsters in terms of NVH (noise. vibration, harshness) level, which will allow the car to be both dynamic and comfortable. Cannot wait to see competitors.

Here is a list of the strenghts of the new boyshell:

• The Front Wall is at present the largest aluminium cast component made in large series for vehicle bodywork
• Many sheet metal parts are designed in such a way that for the first time they can be made from 100 percent recycled aluminium, saving 80 percent of the energy used in their production.
• The main floorpan is a 3-layer shaped panel made from thin, extrusion-moulded hollow sections, welded together by friction stir welding.
• The longitudinal members in the vehicle front end are made using high-pressure hydroforming (IHU) technology, which enables the creation of highly complex and robust components, permitting optimum use of reduced installation spaces.
• The door sills (longitudinal members) consist of 1.7-metre long, 7-chamber extrusion-moulded aluminium sections; these provide rigidity in the lateral sectors and safety in the event of a collision. Flexible chamber distribution makes possible a minimum component weight coupled with optimum characteristics.
• The tunnel is made of aluminium sheet metal with a reinforcement of varying thickness (3 different thicknesses depending on sector, a so-called tailored welded blank TWB).
• The rear sector floor is a MIG welded frame with a hollow chilled cast longitudinal member as its central element. This technique is employed in the SL for the very first time in automotive bodyshell construction.
• The rear sector floor frame structure is closed by floor sheet metal panels and the boot tub made by vacuum die-casting.
• The spare wheel recess is made from recycled sheet metal.
• The central member connects the front end with the rear sector floor. The mounting points for the drive shaft, the transmission cross beam, the transmission tunnel braces and the seat bolting points on the tunnel side are all integrated into a single element. The wall thicknesses and rib distribution are oriented bionically towards the requirements and loads.
• Many other components were optimised bionically, i.e. based on examples from nature. These structures reduce the vehicle weight compared to a classic design even further.

Range Rover Evoque by Startech

The Essen Motor Show has been a very abundant event in matters of tuning this year, bringing tto us among many other tuning projects, a British model, namely the new Range Rover Evoque which received a complete treatment from the Startech tuners.

Starting with the power, the tuning company offered the 2.0-liter gasoline unit 240 horsepower but released no new performance figures due to the fact that it is still work in progress. The good part is that according to Startech, this is the final stage of development, reason for which the technical details will be available pretty soon.

The exterior has been improved with a new aero kit including front and rear aprons, a roof wing and 20 to 22-inch alloy wheels. A suspension kit able to lower the ground clearance by 30 m has also been offered, as well as interiour improvements. Aluminum pedals, sport steering wheel, leather upholstery and carbon fiber trim give the Range Rover Evoque the touch of Startech style and elegance.

Cadillac Diesel to Come Again

At the Los Angeles Auto Show, Cadillac‘s VP of marketing said that a diesel is “under consideration for vehicles sold outside the United States,” which means there is a slight chance for Cadillacs with diesel engines to come, however, only for Europeans.

Appearently, this move comes as a response to the fight with the rivals ooverseas, and the reply sounded exactly like this: “if that means making the right powertrain choices, then those are the choices we will have to make.” This looks like Cadillac’s representative was pretty sure on what he was talking about

However, no mention was brought about Opel’s diesels or whether General Motors would choose to develop something new, but the German subsidiary has done well with oil-burners in the Insignia, and a trial of diesels in Caddys could help use up the allotment that Saab won’t necessarily be needing. So this deffinitely soundslike a great idea.

Corvette Crashes During Autocross [Video]

Yeah, well, as I have always said, people become really stupid when put in front of a strong car’s steering wheel. But to be that stupid to manage to crash your Corvette during an autocross, which is supposed to be the safest environment to drive and show, if you please, your driving skills, is just inimaginable.

The Speed Ventures autocross event was the unhappy host of this guy’s crash. Appearently, he tried to test the strength of his own car or something, I cannot really figure what happens there, and he lost control of the wheel. Another possibility would be the fact that he tried to drift, but that would be pretty impossible to me since it was obvious there wasn’t enough space to do that. But hey, if you can crash your car in an autocross, I suppose we can expect you to do pretty much anything!

The video below shows exactly how it happened, and maybe you could enlighten me, since I don’t quite have a clue about how one is able to avoid the majority of the cones in that area and hit the wall.

Mercedes C63 BlueGreen Eliminator by Wimmer

A new project has arrived, called the BlueGreen Eliminator and it represents the Mercedes C63 tuned by Wimmer.

And what is sure about this car is that Wimmer has really gone wild with this project.
Starting with the important stuff, this car has 601 hp and 720 Nm of torque and a very long list of engine modifications. Sport air filter by K & N, high performance down pipe and special sport catalysts, and hand-made stainless steel exhaust system, ends with an electronic throttle control.

In ordder tomanage t keep up with all the speed, Wimmer has updated the car with clubsport coilover suspension by the KW, BBS – CHR VA 8,5 x19 and 9,5 x19 wheels, MOV’IT-ceramic brake system which are very pricey at 22,000 euro a set.

Well now, about the appearance, many say that its tacky and kinda stupid. I’d rather not give a personal opinion, I think this is a matter of taste. It should perfectly fit one certain kind of customers, as well as it should not fit other kinds of customers.

The engine conversion costs 19,900 euro which might be a little expensive. But then it allows you be as fast as 329 km/h.

2012 Ford Mustang GT Velocity Edition: Specs and Photos

Due to the fact that the German tuning company Velocity has proven a simpathy for the American muscle cars, it has appearently decided to worl at the Ford Mustang GT, which will be unveiled at the 2011 Essen Motor Show.

The tuning program prepared for this car is one a little more special than others, and that is because it features lots of customizations. Called the Velocity Edition, the car features a new vented hood, and a new trunk lid that appears to have been made using high-quality carbon. Notable additions on the Mustang GT include new KW coilovers that allow for precise setting of the ride height and adjustable for rebound and compression, a new set of 22? Giovanni ’Martuni’ wheels wrapped in Pirelli P-Zero tires, and finally, a new and bigger set of brake discs to ensure shorter braking distances for the American muscle car.

This sounds pretty awesome, and now we can really understand why this program is unique and distinctive. But this ain’t all, we still have to mention the engine.

The installation of a new Roush compressor unit has increased the output of the car’s 5.0-liter V8 engine from 412 horsepower all the way up to 519 horsepower. On top of that, the tuning company also installed a new muffler unit, a new shifter lever, and an improved digital gear display.
This proves that the tuning of this car manages to reach all topics needed.

The pricing of the Mustang GT Velocity Edition is €74,999, which is around $100,900 based on current exchange rates.

2012 Subaru Impreza WRX STI S206 Launched: Official Info and Specs

Even though the majority of us wait for the Subaru STI that will be launched as a standalone model in 2013, offering 300 hp, Subaru has given us something else in the meanwhile to help cool of. The Impreza WRX STI S206 limited edition welcomed at its launch by the Japanese Domestic Market.

This is said to be the “crown of STI tune cars”, since it offers engine & suspension, as well as exterior and interior upgrades.

The car is powered by a two-liter turbocharged flat four which now produces 320 hp (+20 hp), while torque is up 18 lb-ft to 318 lb-ft, with the carmaker relying on an updated twin-scroll turbo, a sports muffler and an ECU remap to achieve this.

Wheels and tires are provided by Bilstein front shocks and STI coil springs, with the front wheels also using a flexible tower bar and a flexible draw stiffener. The vehicle was also fitted with a set of 19-inch BBS lightweight rims wrapped in Michelin Pilot Super Sport rubber.

As for the appearance, the vehicle has been updated with a new front fascia, and in the interiour with new trimming, as well as a pair of Recaro seats.

This model will be built in only 200 models, with the vehicle already being on sale. And on top of everythingcome the 100 units of the NBR Challenge Package for the S206, which bring a carbon fiber roof and rear wing to celebrate Subaru’s class victory at the Nurburgring 24 Hours endurance event.

Cadillac ELR Showcased at the 2011 LA Auto Show: Official Info and Photos

Among many cars that just blew our minds present at the 2011 LA Auto Show there was the Cadillac ELR luxury hybrid car. Due to the event, not only did we actually found out things about this car, but we also managed to get a first hand look with several pictures and a video of the car.

The Cadillac is set for production in 2014 and will be based off the Chevy Volt platform. The modified version of the electric propulsion system found in the Cadillac ELR will be good for 40 MPG of gas and electric driving that is emission free. In case a bettery gets low, low, the car will switch to an extended range mode allowing it to pursue hundred of miles.

We all hope this Cadillac ELR will manage to have better overall performances than the Chevrolet Volt since it is common knowledge the interior is going to be extensively redesigned for a luxury feel.

Hybrid cars are more and more these days, whichinmy personal opinionis a very good thing . We should really get used to knew and to changing things around, especially since our planet hasn’t been at its happiest time the past few years. 9ff GT9 Clubsport by 9ff Fahrzeugtechnik: Essen Motor Show 2011

9ff Fahrzeugtechnik is a German tuning company from the Ruhr area which specialized since their startup at the beginning of the century on upgrading Porsche models like the 911.

Their focus has been put on high-speed and powerful Porsche upgrades, and one of the most impressive cars made by the Dortmund-based company is the 9ff GT9 R.
A new edition has recently been released at the Essen Motor Show 2011 by the company who’s owner is Jan Fatthauer, and it has been dubbed the GT9 Clubsport.

What the Porsche received is a new Gulf themed wrap and slick tyres with a front tyre width of 285 and 345 at the rear, asfar as the appearance goes. Concerning the performances now, the maximum performance is 750hp at 6,800rpm and 910Nm at 5,800rpm. Sprint times are 0-100km/h in 3.6 seconds, 100-200km/h in 5.2 seconds and 200-300km/h in 10.4 seconds.

The GT9-R additional performance stages are up to 1,200hp and are available up on request.

It is already common knlowdge that appearently, no matter how many tuners create packages for Porsche, it cannot go wrong.

2012 Mercedes ML-Class By Brabus: Official Info and Specs

After announcing the new tuning ackage for the Mercedes SLS AMG Roadster, Brabus is proving itself very hardworking. The German tuner has switched their focus again on another Mercedes model, the new generation ML-Class.

The new project is onto a customary exterior and some interior updates, as well as a significant power increase.

Even though the new ML-Class was already in a very agressive and wel shaped form, it has been upgraded a a little bit more inorder to enhance its qualities. An “On Road” front spoiler with attachments for the air inlets in the front fascia, new sill skirts, a new rear spoiler, and a dual or quad sport exhaust system support their effort in bring the SUV to the next level. To complete this part of the tuning process, a new set of wheels ranging from 18? to 22,” depending on the choice of the customer has been added.

In the interiour, Brabus offers bi-color stainless-steel scuff plates with a backlit Brabus logo, as well as matte-anodized aluminum pedals, door-lock pins, and a new foot rest. Exotic-wood and carbon-fiber trim sets in any desired color add more elegance and style to the entire package.

2012 BMW 6-Series Coupe By AC Schnitzer: Official Info and Specs

AC Schnitzer was appearently not satisfied with the improvements the BMW 6-series received in time, since it decided to come up with a new version of the car. We are thankful for that.

The exteriour has been considerably changed, the car receiving a new front spoiler, a chromed front grille, and chrome strips which can be fitted either as a set or individually for the front of the vehicle. This is in the front. The back got a new rear spoiler, a rear skirt insert, and a loading edge protector film. What completed the look was a new set of 21? Type VIII Racing Forged alloy wheels in BiColor. Most of these changes were done in order to improve the 6-Series Coupe’s aerodynamics for better performance.

The interiour comes with many modifications an d upgrades, like a sports airbag steering wheel, an AC Schnitzer “Black Line” aluminum cover for the i-Drive System Controller, aluminum foot rest and pedals, and velour boot and foot mats.

Finally, the engine. AC Schnitzer managed to modify the standard version of the 6-Series Coupe, which is a 4.4-liter V-8 engine that develops a total of 400 HP and 450 lb-ft of torque, increasing the total output to an impressive 540 HP. This leads to a 0 to 60 mph sprint time of 4.3 seconds, an improvement over the standard 4.8 seconds.

The icing on the cake is the twin sports rear silencer with chromed “Sport Trim” tailpipes on the right and left offered by the tuner, to help the 650i really stand out in a crowd.

Unfortunately, prices aren’t yet available, but we will keep an eye on this.

Delavilla R1 Based on Porsche Cayman Official: Info and Specs

The Delavilla company is quite a youngster in the world of tuning, having its roots in France. The latest model in range of the tuner is a rebuild based on the Porsche Cayman.

The modifications start at the bodywork, which has completely beenrevised and changed. Delavilla added 12cm of width at the front and 18cm at the rear, creating a more agressive and sporty look for the Porsche. This, merged with a new front bumper with LED lights and special fog lights manages to complete the appearance in the same idea.

Four vertical exhaust pipes, above a wide air outlet have been also added to the rear, while large air inlets required to cool the internal mechanics change completely the classic side panels of the Carrera GT.

Among all the modifications there are lambo doors, fingerprint recognition and a transparent engine cover, all summed up to 34 additional options. The final feature of the tuning package is the offering of three power levels, above and beyond those offered by the manufacturer: the first configuration offers 340hp, the second 385hp and the last up to 420hp (only for track racing).

We will deffinitely keep an eye on Delavilla, since it really promises a lot. We shall wait and see.

Two Chevrolet Corvettes Crash Into Each Other [Video]

I could say I am starting to get tired of the crashes I write about and mostly the car crashes I hear about, since I write only about a few of them.

This time, in case you were wondering, we have two Chevrolet Corvettes, and two very idiot drivers. And I am sorry for my language but I just cannot remain impartial any more.

After patiently waiting for the traffic lights, the two morons driving a C5 and a C6 started racing each other, until, as usual, something went wrong. The driver of the C5 loses control of his vehicle after only a few hundred meters and guess what? Crashes into his C6 friend, managing to ruin both innocent cars. And I wouldn’t give a damn if these two would have decided to race each other somewhere else sometime else, I wouldn’t even care about the cars,even though I usually do. It’s your car, do whatever you want with it. But do not have the nerve to jeopardize every single being around you, from kids to pregnant women or old people who just were unfortunate enough to encounter you. I mean this is somewhere in the U.S. in broad daylight.

I do like though the guy who filmed the video below, he probably saw them earlier in traffic and figured it’s only a matter of time until the two manage to prove to the world their intelectual capacity.

700-hp Mercedes SLS Roadster by Brabus Unveiled

As we all are already used to Brabus making all these cool projects all around the auto world, now it has announced another creation. Based on a 700-hp Mercedes SLS Roadster, the latest project will be revealed at the Essen Motor Show.

Unfortunately, nothing official has been yet released about the specifications of this car, but we are able to guess some details because of its similarity with the hard-top Barbus SLS, and because of the fact that Brabus recipe remains always the same. A subtle yet effective body kit, huge wheels in black, upgraded brakes, springs, active body control, and a reinforced gearbox to handle the torque of the heavily tuned engine.

We think that due to the fact that the Roadster’s characteristics are different than its brothers, the aero kit is slightly different, being re-engineered.

Besides the fact that it is for sure that this car will be extremely fast, which we really love, it doesn’t look bad at all. As if we could have expected something ugly to come out of the hands of Mercees-Benz and Brabus. Check out the photos and see for yourself!

Saat ini untuk menyikapi Jembatan Tenggarong petugas gabungan dari kepolisian dan TNI serta Satpol PP setempat berusaha mengevakuasi korban yang kemungkinan terjebak dalam reruntuhan jembatan. "Informasi dari Kepala Satpol PP, ada tiga orang meninggal, satu luka parah," ungkap Bambang, warga setempat yang saat ini tengah menyaksikan proses evakuasi.

Dari informasi yang diperoleh sebelum Jembatan Tenggarong roboh sedang dilakukan perbaikan pada bagian tengah sebelah kiri jembatan dari Tenggarong. "Tiba-tiba ada tali yang putus. Tali-tali yang lain juga secara berantai putus, ada seorang korban yang dapat dievakuasi.

Pesta Olahraga Negara-Negara Asia Tenggara 2011 (SEA Games 2011) diselenggarakan di Jakarta dan Palembang, Indonesia, pada 11-22 November 2011. Jakarta sudah pernah menyelenggarakan SEA Games 3 kali, yaitu pada tahun 1979, 1987, dan 1997. Palembang akan menjadi kota ketiga yang menyelenggarakan SEA Games di luar ibu kota negara setelah Chiang Mai dan Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand.

Nissan Juke-R has finally unveiled

Mazda to boost their US sales through fuel efficient cars

Mazda Motors is looking to rework its brand image in the United States by introducing better fuel efficient cars in the market. The net units sold by Mazda in the U.S.A were just 229,566 in the last year. This year is also not been much better for Mazda and they are expected to sell around a quarter of a million units in 2011. It was in the year 1986 that Mazda had reportedly sold more than 330,000 units. Mazda in order to change this current trend has decided to boost its brand and is hoping to increase its annual sales by 74 % to almost 400,000 units by the 2015.

According to Mazda USA’s Senior Vice President, Robert Davis, they will be proving overhauled models of the current Mazda cars in the market. The next generation cars will be provided with the improved SkyActiv engine which has improved fuel efficiency and more output power. Volvo to launch the V60 Plug-in Hybrid in Europe in 2012

Volvo has released a press statement that they will be officially launching the new V60 Plug in Hybrid in Europe next year. It will also hit the International markets a little before the end of 2012. The hybrid car will be produced in two versions a diesel-electric and an electric-gasoline model. However the gasoline hybrid model has been made especially for the U.S. markets and the diesel-electric version will be sold in all other countries.

The V60 hybrid car is supposed to feature an all-wheel drive as the rear wheels are powered by the electric motor whereas the front wheels are powered by the turbocharged engine.Volvo has teamed up with Vattenfall , a Swedish company for the development of their new V60 Hybrid. A GPS navigation system will also be provided with the car.

Under the hood, the V60 features an electric motor that is driven by a 12 kWh Li ion battery and can provide an output of 70 horse power. However the bulk of the power will be produced by the 5-cylinder 2.4 liter diesel engine coupled to a turbocharger that can give an output power of 215 HP.

The Hybrid is highly fuel efficient and gives a mileage of 124 miles per gallon of fuel when running on the diesel engine power. When running on electric power only, the V60 can manage only 31 miles after which the turbocharged diesel engine produces the necessary power.

The reputed automobile manufacturer has further stated that the Volvo V60 Hybrid car will cost more than the normal V60 but the running costs will reduced to one third. Volvo hopes the Hybrid car will be a success when it is released next year.

BMW to launch the Mini for Indian markets

The Germany based BMW has recently announced that they will be releasing the Mini luxury car in India in 2012. The small car will be optimized for Indian market and will feature many interesting accessories.

Andreas Schaaf, president of BMW India, has said that they are planning to develop the brand image of the Mini before its release next year. He also added that they will introduce one dealership in Mumbai and two more in the Delhi area. They also intend to open up to four dealerships in 2013 and the three more will be added in 2014.

Since the Mini is supposed to be a luxury automobile it will be targeting the upper class customers in India. BMW has indicated that the Mini will probably cost more than 25 lakh INR. The car was meant to be released by BMW in the year 2009 but the project was postponed to due viability reasons.
The Mini brand includes several models like coupe, convertible, hatchback, countryman and clubman. BMW will not be releasing all these variants and instead introduce only selective models suited to the Indian automotive market.

The biggest premium car brand in India BMW hopes to increase its activities in Indian region and is aiming to sell around 70,000 units annually by the year 2020. GM predicts lackluster US automotive sales for 2012

General Motors is troubled by their expected sales prediction for the year 2012. According to their CEO, Dan Akerson there will be a considerable decrease in the U.S. sales of all automobile manufacturers for the next year. However Akerson also said that General Motors might not be affected too much partly because of their recent agreement with the United Auto Workers (UAW).

The current year has seen the Japanese manufacturers lose their market share in the U.S due to shortage of inventory. Other sales experts have predicted that there will be boost to sales incentive as the Japanese automakers try to reclaim their hold in the market. However Akerson does not agree with their opinion and expects sales to decline due to the European debt crisis which has adversely affected the international economy.

It has been reported that Toyota’s market share has decreased to 12.5 per cent from 15.2 per cent. Honda has also lost their share from 10.6 per cent to 9 per cent. On the other hand the American automobile manufacturer has performed well this year and reported a 1 % increase in their US market stake in just nine months.

General Motors has projected the sales of light automobiles in the U.S to be around 12.8 to 12.7 million units. They have not revealed their percentage share in this projected sales figure. Akerson has stated that the recent agreement between UAW and GM will be critical in preserving their breakeven point. They expect to report profits even if the US sales volume reduces by 16 % to 10.5 million units next year.

The GM CEO believes that they are slated to increase their market share in the US and hopes to be report more profits in the next year.

Nissan reveals brand new NV 400 van for Europe

Nissan has announced that they will be releasing a brand-new heavy van the NV 400 in Europe. They are looking to lure customers with this new van model, which features quality components at an affordable cost.

Nissan has provided the NV 400 with new grille, front bumper, integrated daytime running headlights and an improved car framework. The van was developed in collaboration with premium automaker Renault and displays bold premium looks.

Roger Lighterness a well-known graphics designer has generated the rendered version of the sedan based on the latest generation 3-series cars released by BMW recently. The website Bimmerpost was among the first to publish the latest renderings which depict the car in grey and reveal some interesting things about the car.

Under the hood of the new F80 M3, the engine is speculated to be built on M5’s 8- cylinder 4.4 liter V8 engine. The sedan is likely to be powered by the smaller displacement 3.3 liter six cylinder V-6 engine coupled to twin turbochargers to maximize power output.

There are also rumors that an electrically based tri turbocharger configuration may be introduced for the next M3 model. The power output of the engine configuration in the E46 M3 was roughly 340 Horse power and we hope that the 2014 M3 will surely provide around 450 Horse power.

Audi releases new photos of the E-tron Spyder hybrid sports car

Audi USA has released new photos of their plug-in hybrid concept sports car prototype, the E-tron Spyder. The sports car is around 13.3 feet long , only 3.6 feet high, weighs roughly 1450 kilo grams and has been aerodynamically designed to greatly reduce the air drag.

Under the hood, the E-tron Spyder is powered by a 3.0 liter twin turbocharged V6 TDI Diesel engine that provides an output of 300 horse power (221 kW) to the rear wheels. Two electric motors have also been provided which produce 87 horse power (64 kW) at the front axle. The V6 TDI engine is housed at the rear end of the open roof car and provides 650N-m torque to the rear wheels. Pagani Huayra to replace the Zonda

Italian innovative automaker Pagani has recently launched its latest supercar the Huayra. The founder of the car manufacturer, Horacio Pagani has stated that the Huayra has been developed from their earlier cars and is supposed to be the most powerful car on the road. Pagani is famous for producing the Zonda Cinque, their fastest car for normal roads. Their previous highly successful supercar models were the Zonda R and the Zonda.

Under the hood, the Pagani Huayra has been installed with the 6.0 liter V12 AMG engine with twin turbochargers that can give an output of over 700 Horse power and a tremendous torque of over 1000 N-m. The power is transmitted to the wheels by the 7-speed Transverse sequential transmission. A force induction kit has been used by Pagani for maximizing the engine efficiency.

The Huayra outer body has been built of a carbon and titanium composite (Carbo-Tanium) which gives the structure and also reduces the weight of the structure. Coming off the heels of the launch of the 440 feet Serene mega yacht, Fincantieri has now surpassed it with its latest Fortissimo yacht. Standing true to its name, it looks like a fort, but has the abilities of a top end speed boat, reaching a speed of 35 knots easily.

The credit for the design of this behemoth goes to Ken Freivokh Design. This giga-yacht is one of its kind with its modern and futuristic design. The 476 feet long hull has a total of 8 decks, and is one of the heaviest yacht of its class, approximately 7000 tonnes. Diesel engines will pump out 70,000 KW of energy to give it speed boat capabilities. Due to the size of the yacht, 4 water jets will aid in the total displacement and navigation, which allows the Fortissimo to cruise at an average of 18 knots, and reaching up to 35 knots.

There is no doubt about the space on board the Fortissimo. A 48 person crew will handle the yacht’s operations and function. However, the Fortissimo has guest accommodation for 16 guests only, not including the owner. The yacht also has quite a number of tenders, including a 10.5 meter Limo, two 6.2 meter general purpose, and one 10.5 meter open tender. The 8 decks will host a number of luxurious amenities, with speculation including spas, luxury suites, private theatre and cinema, gym, lounge and dining space, and a bar, among others.

However, it is yet to be seen in waters, so complete details are not out yet. Although the launch of Fortissimo concept project is not surprising as the company enjoys success in building such things, for example the Blue Ribbon winner, the ‘Destriero’.
Fincantueri also announced another yacht which it named Virage 88, which is still in concept design stage. First look guarantees another futuristic design, but whether it will beat its sister yacht Fortissimo, is yet to be seen.
