Tata Motors. firmly believes that the Assembly of Land Rover in India models will give the company an advantage better to compete with German rivals such as Audi, BMW and Mercedes-Benz, who build all vehicles in India.
"We are excited about the idea of assembling cars in Pune for the Indian market, where we achieved significant growth since we opened our first showroom in 2009", explains Dr. Ralf Speth, CEO of Jaguar, Land Rover. "It is the ideal time to expand our operation in India due to the growing demand for luxury products and the strength of the Indian economy."
The plant in Pune that sensitizes the Land Rover Freelander 2 vehicles provided in form complete Knock Down (CKD) of Halewood plant in Liverpool, United Kingdom. The SUV will be available in India in two variants, the automatic TD4 SE, the SD4 automatic HSE. The cars will carry a price tag from the INR 3.39 million, which is about 15 percent lower than the current models are imported.
Also according to recent reports of media, Jaguar, Land Rover looks forward to build a new plant of India motors, although there is no such confirmation of the company.
