A new model to be placed above the CLS and that would be a four door is considered active at Mercedes. It would take on the popularity of the Bentley Continental gt. More likely to be propelled by an AMG engine, the car would have a design which oscillates near drama. A high price, the same would be justified with its impressive chassis that provide high performance characteristics.

According to Autocar, the car would be by style and design a bigger brother of the CL Cup. Mercedes Benz also supports the car to be a great success, specially in the Russia and markets of the Middle East. There is also speculation on a version of the vehicle being considered by Mercedes Maybach. This due to the fact that people have shown great interest in 57 Xenatec Cup which is based on the Maybach luxury sedan.

However, while official confirmation on the engine is currently not available, there is high probability that it would be the new 5.5 l V8 bi-turbo on 2012 Mercedes-Benz CLS 63 AMG that would go to the power of the new car. This particular power house offers 518 hp on the CLS 63 and accelerates from 0 to 96 km/h or 60 mph in 4.4 seconds. Speeds of the CLS 63 is limited electronically to 155 mph or 250 km/h. To be a player in contention, the new Mercedes-Benz car has to deliver similar characteristics.
