BMW honors its 328: is a hit or a Miss?

This year marks the 75th anniversary of the BMW 328, considered by many the best looking and most successful car in early formation of BMW. Designed to highlight the lightweight construction, aerodynamic lines and innovative suspension technology, the BMW 328 Touring Coupe still holds the record for the highest average speed of Mille Miglia. In honor of the legendary car from BMW, their designers have created a modern interpretation of the 328, nicknamed the tribute of BMW 328.

Thanks to the use of modern materials of carbon fiber reinforced plastic, the BMW Channel Catfish 328 Hommage weighs little more than 1,700 pounds. Cutting of aluminium is used throughout the Interior, that leather upholstery to tie to the 328 original characteristics. 328 Original development vehicles, tribute 328 lacks doors, which may not be the most ideal from an aerodynamic point of view. BMW kidney-shaped grille is unmistakable in advance and emphasis in homage to the original 328, one of the first BMW to use the subject now-design icon.

BMW claims that the 328 is an "athletic rear end," as well as the model in the photos. View of rear Three may be the more attractive to the view from all angles and is certainly less controversial than the front or front view of three quarters. I must say that I am not a big fan of lines of the car of tribute, as the 328 tribute goes beyond "by above" style. A car that is supposed to underline aerodynamic lines, probably has the coefficient of drag of a building of apartments and challenge anyone to explain how the front-end pays homage to the original 328. I'm not a designer of cars, or do play one on television, but the 328 tribute just don't do it for me. What your take: epic win or absolute error?
