Honda fans have been something special in Shanghai, the Auto Show held recently in China. The Japanese automaker announced its plans to manufacture a new model of sports car which would be a kind of a suite for the model of Honda NSX sumptuous (alias Acura NSX in North America). Enthusiasm for Honda fans were all to obvious with this delicious piece of news.
The President of Honda Motor Company - Takanobu Ito said the program that the new model of the car will not be based on the V10 Engine as was originally planned. This given that the project to have a V10 powered future model NSX has been ignored in 2008 during the global recession. Instead, the future NSX model will be a set of wheels with an adrenalin grip and will also be a green which is respectful of the environment. This has all the makings of a great sports car, said Ito while also indicating the company engineers and designers are insist hard to make this project a success.
The representative Japanese automakers refused to comment on other details on the car sport as the montage in which the car will be launched or its price range. An another Honda spokesman also said that the car will be based on an electric motor to provide the engine gasoline an adequate backup. This idea was certainly influenced by the makings of the CR - Z sport hybrid. But, unlike the CR - Z this future model of the NSX will be be approved as a vehicle hybrid high performance.
When the project was initially proposed by Honda NSX successor, the then President Takeo Fukui dismissed the project to reduce costs during the global recession. Then, the car was designed to have a capable of generating the output energy of approximately 500 HP V10 Engine front. Powertrain but was eventually used on the Honda HSV-010 GT car which was the alter ego of the V10 NSX race which unfortunately has never been produced.
Now we are going to come to the original version of NSX from Honda, which was based on a medium V6 engine capable of generating approximately 270 HP peak power. The car had a 5 speed manual transmission. The car is finally taken production by the Japanese firm in 2005 after he ran for almost 14 years as a model of successful sports car of Honda.
