One of the most cruel myths of childhood is that someday may afford the real versions of all these cars Hot Wheels and Matchbox which you played with as a child, or even all that plastic model kits lovingly designed. The truth is that few of us ever earn the kind of income to realize those dreams, especially after that factor in the cost of all the stuff that does not need to worry about childhood. Who knew that the food and clothing cost money and houses are very expensive? If you get the kind of income where it is possible to buy a Lamborghini, soon learns the cruel reality: Supercars may seem fun and can offer impressive performance, but they suck in traffic and rare time you will get the possibility of an opening in the street. After the initial excitement "Look at me" has disappeared, the majority of the owners of supercar take their car only for special events and track days, it seems a cruel waste of potential.
Lamborghini feels your pain and your CEO has confirmed rumors that the company is working on a line of daily drivers. Stephen Winkelmann told reporters at a press conference Reuters that Lamborghini is working on a third line of model, in order to present shoppers with what he called a "car" every day. From Lamborghini is owned by Volkswagen, which would be fun to speculate about what the car would be. A sedan with the 5.2 liter V-10 since the Passat-based Gallardo? Does a Jetta Sportwagen base Lambo with the liter 6.5 V-12 from the discontinued bat?
The answer is probably (c), "none of the above". Expect Lamborghini to start with a sedan power it, probably along the lines of his show of 2008 rapier car. Don't expect Lambo to play in the market for VW, in place, but I see that he is going after customers who had to store the Porsche Panamera Turbo or the Mercedes E63 AMG. In other words, Lamborghini will produce a "every day car" for the type of buyer which already has a Lamborghini, not for the type of buyer you buy Infiniti G37 sedan.
