Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, which is part of the brand BMW AG should attend an increase of its turnover of close to a double in the second quarter of this year. Its model Ghost after all who is currently tipped as an important factor behind the increase in the sales as stated by the Chairman Rolls-Royce North America - David Archibald. Ghost model has always played a major role in the success of the company that he helped the company to achieve a record number of 2,711 units sold last year in 2010. The increase in sales was estimated on a 167 whooping per cent the previous year.
The ghost model was at a price of $246,500 who was surprisingly less than the model of Ghost in the United States of America. New car the car is priced between EUR 200 000 to 300 000 EUR in Europe. Archibald said that the phantom has been able to bring more business in the new towns everywhere in the world. So with this steep curve in sales, the company decided to increase the number of dealers in China from eight to eleven. What this will do is it will make China the country with the second largest number of merchants that after the United States, which continues to reign automotive markets that it had always been.
Archibald also revealed that the United States market may take sales by the Chinese market in the not too distant future. He also added that the company planned to add four dealers again. The company currently owns approximately 81 dealers all around the globe. Archibald further stated that the way in which Rolls-Royce sales increases verifies the fact that the ultra luxury market is still gaining priority quickly after a sudden fall due to the global recession.
