BMW takes back us in the history of the DTM, with images of the new race amasing M3 car. The concept offers an initial impression of what look like the BMW M3 DTM when it aligns the 2012 season. The pilots selected for the DTM Championship in 2012 are Andy Priaulx and Augusto Farfus, currently running in some GT races.
This super car is equipped with 4.0 litre engine V8 which includes a reducer of air which retains the power to approximately 480 bhp, in accordance with the regulations of DTM. The car accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in about three seconds and has a speed of 300 km/h.
The model of measures 4.775 mm in length (without rear wing) and 1,950 in width. The height is approximately 1 200 mm.
It is known that the settlement of DTM for the 2012 season require that all cars must use a number of standard components. This is to ensure that development costs remain reasonable and are considerably lower than in other categories of top motorsport.
The return to the DTM BMW the following season, it also marks the return of a legend of the race: between 1987 and 1992, the BMW M3 celebrated not less than 40 victories and more than 150 podiums in this series.
