So while it is true, the Ferrari 458 Spider will be have a folding tip hard-top, not roof fabric worn by his predecessor the F430 Spider.
This folding hard-top 458 was the main subject of much speculation and rumours, especially in light of the Ferrari California folding metal roof. Thought the spider F430 that a folding hard-top was too heavy and too complex, but it seems that Ferrari has solved these problems for the drop-top 458.
Inside source has not revealed many details, but it seems that the lid of the transparent Cup engine was abandoned, although fortunately unchanged the 4.5 l 562bhp under the V8.
For the moment, it is really difficult toll if the new arrangement of roof will be a work of glass or metal. This could down behind the seats tuck when it is opened, but it's fair to prediction of certain web rumors.
The new Ferrari 458 Spider is intended for a public debut at the fall of Frankfurt Motor Show, so we should see photos and details of the new car sometime later this summer.
