Next-Gen of Aston Martin DBS: first technical details

Just a week that we have presented the first blows of the Aston Martin DB9 2013 espionage grand touring and now we have the first technical details.

As we have seen, the British works on a new generation of its great tourism DB9 and once more two elegant doors should be the basis for a high performance DBS supercar. This new generation of the DB9 and DBS possible will not completely new as lightweight aluminum bonded VH platform the current car is expected to see, although almost every element will be improved on.

For the new DBS mean that the VH platform will be significantly lighter and the main purpose is to improve the acceleration, braking, handling and fuel economy. Engineers are studying would have been a weight loss of 10 to 15 per cent for the new DBS, which would weigh about 3,300 pounds - mass a 400 pound weight saving on the current car model.

Also the new model will be more powerful, with the current V-12 6.0 litre engine should undergo a major redesign not only produce more power, but also produce fewer emissions. Expected output increase of about 20 horses in the DBS to a new peak of power 530.

The exterior design almost the same, will remain the current proportion remains virtually unchanged. Wait for an overall look of the sharper bends, carved sides and a grid similar to that used on the One-77 supercar, but we will see the final result just for the launch.
