The Japanese auto manufacturer is currently working on a new version of its GS sedan. This has already previewed in concept and has recently confirmed reveal in the production of trim at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance months 2011 next in California.

Even if the new model is not yet released, Lexus is already serious a version cut off from the sport sedan.

This information was revealed by the Scheduler of product of Lexus Ben j. Mitchell, who spoke recently with inside the line. "I would like to make a Coupe", he said inside the line. "We are really trying to increase the emotional qualities of our brand." We want to focus on the dynamics and the exterior styling. "According to Mitchell, Lexus is currently involved in a"quite active study of the possibilities of cutting ".

Mike Michels, Vice President external communications from Lexus, said that the brand wants to expand its range. "Lexus has aspirations to have a full model line and global scope", he said inside the line in the same conversation.

If this car a reality, it would be the only two doors fixed roof offering of Lexus, not counting the $375,000 LFA. It would also be the second Lexus of two doors to offer more than two seats, convertible roof rigid is being the first. The GS Cup probably would not arrive until the spring of 2013.

Lexus GS 350 Cup would also share its entire platform and the transmission of traction rear with the GS 350 sedan. Power would be therefore a 300-more-power 3.5-litre V6 and Lexus a tried-and-true six speed automatic transmission. Prices would probably begin in the neighbourhood of $50,000.

It is known that once the car manufacturers have a Coupe they generally follow it with a convertible. But neither Mitchell nor Michels comment at the top of a waterfall.
