Deliveries of BMW AG models have reached approximately 21% of the 382,758 units in the first quarter according to company announcements recently.
Ian Robertson, the head of sis BMW sales, "sales volume of the year 2011 should reach more than 1.5 million units, a new record, with BMW, MINI and Rolls-Royce marks all records in sales volume new achievement". This was the objective that the company had fixed and publicly announced at the Detroit Auto Show event.
The company sources mention also on a rise in sales of the BMW mark who spent 21 per cent to 3321,175 units. His main rival Audi therefore is now been pushed into second place. For the first quarter, sales of Volkswagen AG increased from 18 per cent to 312,600 units. Also, a gain of 13 per cent was recorded by Mercedes Benz as a brand with the number of units delivered standing at 280,552 which makes the Daimler AG third by top premium automobile manufacturers.
