Robert Bosch GmbH and Daimler get a partnership for the production of electric motors to be used on next-generation electric vehicles. This was announced by Daimler.
BMW plans to start production of their EV model at the beginning of 2013, and this can take a severe beating in cases where the joint project of Robert Bosch, Daimler come with their model before that.
The joint project was a partnership of 50-50 in accordance with the memorandum of understanding. Their main objective is to accelerate technology for electric motor units.
It is expected that the B-class E-cell and SLS AMG E-cell would be the first models Mercedes which would be equipped with new units coming out of this common project.
