If you are driving to your local Chrysler dealer, asking when can put money down in an Alfa Romeo Giulia sedan, I have bad news for you: you be not driving an Alfa in 2012, at least not in the United States. Return of the historic brand to the market of United States has been delayed for at least six months, that pushes back in mid-2013 unless there are more delays. It seems the design of the new Giulia, which Fiat-Chrysler CEO Sergio Marchionne has expressed his discontent with the robbery. While the alpha engineers return to their boards of drawing (monitors, really), Chrysler engineers are said to go through the next generation of 200 Chrysler and Dodge Avenger, which will share the platform with the new Giulia.

If all goes well, expect to see a Giulia sedan, a C 4 Sports Coupe and an Alfa Romeo SUV based on the next generation of Jeep Liberty / Compass end of 2013. There is a possibility that we could also get a version of the platform of Giulia, although the European manufacturers tend to believe that cars are not sold on United States. Personally, I'm holding out hope that generations of Alpha to two-seat Roadster for the American market, as the concept of 2uettottanta pictured above and shown at the Geneva Motor Show last year.
